Beneath Doug's mild mannered "southern boy" exterior is a heart beating with the pulse of God's love on biblical mission to reach the people of our day. His worship leadership is an expression of his personal discipleship. Doug and Missy are real. Real followers of Jesus. Their lives of devotion, sacrifice and faithfulness led others to truly follow Christ. But not in a "churchy" or artificial way. It was always real. And I have a hunch it always will be.
